Osmani demands lifting of EU measures in meeting with Ambassador Guérot

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today in a meeting the Ambassador of France to Kosovo, Olivier Guérot.

The meeting discussed recent developments in the country, as well as the process of preparing for the early national elections to be held on December 28.

"The President stressed the importance of the smooth running of the electoral process and respect for the highest democratic standards, for which Kosovo is already an example. The meeting also discussed the assumption of office of the elected mayors of Kosovo's municipalities, including municipalities in the north of the country, a process that was completed today," the announcement states.

Osmani stressed the urgency of lifting EU measures which are unjustly and without any reason still in force and are harming the interests of all citizens, without distinction.
