Coordination meeting for the "Economic Recovery Package" is held
Regarding the economic recovery of our country, yesterday, the members of the coordination group held their first meeting, where they addressed economic issues and problems facing the private sector as a result of the pandemic. This Coordination Group was established at the 11th meeting of the National Council for Economic Development, under the leadership of Prime Minister Kurti, held on April 14, 2020.
The press release states that representatives of the chambers of commerce and other members of this coordination group presented on the difficulties of local businesses during this period, with their suggestions and highly collaborative approach with Minister Hajdari and her colleagues from the Kurti Government, to address economic losses, with their concrete ideas for the economic recovery of our country.
During the meeting, Minister Hajdari and Deputy Minister Ilir Aliu announced the actions of the Kurti Government regarding addressing the previous requests of business representatives, which were addressed through the Emergency Fiscal Package. Minister Hajdari added that all concerns and questions raised by business representatives have also been addressed by her, in the inter-ministerial working group, led by the Ministry of Health, regarding the measures taken during the COVID 19 pandemic. Minister Hajdari emphasized that these requests have also been taken into account for the current gradual opening of businesses in the first, second and third phases, where she mentioned that many economic activities have been allowed to start work, but with increased caution. All these phases will be adapted to the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Minister Hajdari encouraged all participants to continue to present their proposals, requests and concerns to address economic problems in order to elaborate the best possible package for economic recovery.
Minister Hajdari thanked everyone for the fruitful meeting, with lots of input, and assured them that she would not dismiss any request without reviewing it.
The meeting concluded with the agreement of all members to continue these meetings, on a regular basis and with close reporting to the Prime Minister, throughout the review of the most appropriate options for economic recovery, respectively until the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Also, at this meeting, a common agreement was reached that from this coordination group platform, technical groups should be created to address sectoral issues in the economy/industry, financial issues and other issues to bring the analysis with the most relevant conclusions for the design of the Economic Recovery Package./Indeksonline/
