Police arrest group of hackers who attacked Swiss users' accounts

Polish and Swiss police, with the support of Europol and Eurojust, uncovered the Infinity Black hacker group, involved in distributing stolen confidential user data, creating and distributing malicious programs and tools for hacking and fraud.

On April 29, Polish police raided six locations in five Polish regions and arrested five members of the Infinity Black group, according to Europol.

Police seized devices and external drives and cryptocurrency hardware worth around 100,000 euros.

The hackers had created a sophisticated script to exploit a large number of Swiss user accounts.

Although the losses are estimated at 50,000 euros, the hackers had access to accounts with potential losses of more than 610,000 euros.

Police have shut down two database platforms with more than 170 million entries
