Security cameras "capture" over 1,300 traffic violations during a week in Pristina
The capital's police department has announced that the implementation of measures to increase traffic safety is continuing, through continuous monitoring and the imposition of fines against violators.
According to the police, within the framework of these activities, the capital's Traffic Unit is issuing fines based on monitoring security cameras, as well as during the implementation of regular field duties.
From January 13 to 19, 2026, this unit issued a total of 1.369 fines for various offenses, including the use of a mobile phone while driving. The violations were recorded through security cameras and direct traffic checks.
Kosovo Police has appealed to drivers to avoid using their phones while driving and to respect road traffic rules, in order to prevent accidents and protect the lives of citizens.
