161 thefts in Switzerland, criminal group from Kosovo arrested

161 robberies in 11 cantons were committed in Switzerland and six men from Kosovo were arrested in connection with this.

At the beginning of September 2025, several burglaries were reported in the municipality of Hochdorf. The Lucerne police were able to arrest the suspects.

In their vehicle, law enforcement found suspected stolen goods as well as tools used for burglary, reports Blick.ch.

Subsequently, the Special Crimes Prosecutor's Office, in cooperation with the Lucerne police, conducted extensive investigations. The investigations revealed that the arrested were part of a criminal group operating at a national level. The suspects are Kosovo citizens, aged between 26 and 57.

Total damage is estimated at around 705 thousand francs.

The six suspects are accused of committing a total of 161 burglaries in at least eleven Swiss cantons.

The main targets of the thefts were businesses and commercial enterprises, where the perpetrators mainly targeted cash.

The amount gained from the criminal offenses is estimated at around 590 thousand francs, while the total material damage amounts to around 705 thousand francs.

 Investigations against the suspected perpetrators are still ongoing at the Special Crimes Prosecution Office.
