Seven men charged with over 40 offences as police investigate child sexual exploitation in Bristol
Seven men have been charged with more than 40 offences relating to 11 teenagers as part of an investigation into the sexual exploitation of minors in the city of Bristol, reports say. Sky News, Gazeta Express broadcasts.
Police said the alleged offences occurred between 2022 and 2025, when the victims were in their mid to late teens.
The suspects were arrested in April 2024 and later released on bail while evidence collection continued. They are expected to appear in court this morning.
The investigation began after concerns were raised in November 2023 regarding the sexual exploitation of a teenage girl.
This development comes as the government's investigation into sex abuse groups has yet to find a leader accepted by survivors.
