A five-star hotel and 750,000 euros, Mourinho's luxurious stay at Fenerbahce!
José Mourinho's departure from Fenerbahce continues to be news in Istanbul. In recent days, several Turkish media outlets have reported that the club paid 36.5 million lira (around 750,000 euros) for his accommodation for 15-16 months at the city's Four Seasons Hotel, where he occupied the "most luxurious suite."
On 29 August 2025, Fenerbahçe announced the termination of his contract following their elimination in the Champions League qualifiers against Benfica. The compensation figure was between 12 and 15 million euros.
The alleged hotel bill ties into a recurring theme in Mourinho's itinerant life: his preference for staying in hotels when working away from his family base. In Manchester, he spent 895 nights at the Lowry Hotel, a stay that the British press estimated cost around £537,000 (€609,000)./Indeksonline/
