Trump plans to visit Venezuela after Maduro's arrest

United States President Donald Trump said on Friday that US relations with Venezuela are "very good" and that he plans to visit the country, without giving details on the date of the trip.

Trump said he is working "very closely" with Venezuela's interim president, Delcy Rodríguez, and stressed that the bilateral relationship is at a high level, including cooperation on access to oil.

His stance comes after the US seized power from former President Nicolás Maduro, while the US administration has sought to strengthen relations and oil trade with Venezuela's current leadership.
