Bekë Berisha today resigned from the position of President of the Pristina City Council.

The well-known politician has resigned just a few days after being elected as the president of the basketball club, Prishtina, writes Indeksonline

Basketball legend Granit Rugova is aiming for his place.

He has expressed his willingness to be appointed chairman through social networks, describing himself as ready to manage the club together with "Plisat".

"Today, I feel a moral obligation to take responsibility and openly express my will to claim the position of president of my beloved club. Not for personal ambition, but because I believe that I have the knowledge, experience and energy to manage the club well and together with Plisat, the citizens of Pristina and all the club's lovers, we will take the club to where it deserves to be," Rugova wrote.
