Albanian missing for two weeks in Austria found dead in a pond in Germany

Agim N., a resident of Wels, Austria, who had been reported missing since November 29, has been found dead.

The news of his death was announced by his family.

The 56-year-old Albanian from the village of Rainc in the municipality of Presheva but who had lived in Austria for many years, was found dead on December 12 at around 12:40 by a pedestrian in a small pond in Hundsdorf, near Passau, Germany.

The passerby, upon seeing the body, immediately called the emergency services. Firefighters managed to remove the body. According to the German police report, there are no signs of any illegal act or violence, however, the police are dealing with the case.

How did Agim N.'s disappearance happen?

According to the statement of Agim N.'s daughter to the Austrian police, her father, 56 years old, has been away from his apartment since noon on Saturday, November 29. He left the apartment in his car, a black Opel Mokka, and without his cell phone.

German police announced days ago that the car was found in a field in the municipality of Hauzenberg, near Passau. It was reported that the car was found locked, however there was no sign of the driver.

Agim's family members have stated to albinfo.at that the victim's body has been sent to the IML for an autopsy, while it is not known when the deceased's funeral will take place.
