Angelina Jolie's emails during her legal battle with Brad Pitt are revealed, what the actress wrote

Angelina Jolie has revealed that her long-running legal battle with Brad Pitt over the Château Miraval winery is destroying her emotionally and physically, according to internal emails recently released as part of court filings.

According to documents obtained by USA Today, in a May 2021 email, the "Maleficent" star wrote to her financial manager:

"I need to get rid of all the stress. I honestly feel like I'm getting sick from worrying. I'd like to talk about better support. And not continuing relationships that you see as causing me stress."

In the same email, she also appears to refer to her brother, James Haven:

“A financial situation like Jamie's, where I just give and give and don't even get a 'thank you'... it's just wrong.”

The documents also include a November 2023 email from Jolie's lawyers, which Pitt's legal team filed in court on Oct. 29, according to People. In it, they refer to an alleged $35 million lawsuit against the 50-year-old actress.

“Of course, the burden of any lawsuit is the result of Mr. Pitt’s actions. He is suing Ms. Jolie for $35 million in damages,” – the lawyers write.
"As a result, he must bear the costs of producing the documents that will show (or not) these damages.”

Another email, dated October 2023, they say, confirms that Pitt is seeking "ongoing damages for alleged damages to Miraval's operation."

In this same correspondence, Jolie's team also refers to what it describes as:

“Pitt’s continued refusal to provide documents on why he needed a four-year NDA (non-disclosure agreement) covering his personal conduct.”

According to them, these documents are "at the heart of the matter" and "must be handed over".

According to USA Today, the latest 286-page filing in Los Angeles court is part of Pitt's lawyers' effort to obtain copies of Jolie's emails related to the sale of her Miraval shares in 2021.

Angelina Jolie's team has defended itself by claiming attorney-client privilege and has refused to hand it over.

Pitt, 61, sued his ex-wife in 2022, claiming she sold her share of the winery in violation of an alleged agreement between them that prohibited either from selling without the other's approval.

Jolie has denied the existence of such an agreement and has responded with a lawsuit, accusing the "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" actor of a "vengeful war" against her.

According to her, Pitt refused to buy her share in Miraval because she refused to sign an NDA that would prohibit him from speaking about an alleged incident on a private flight in 2016.
