Apple to launch iPhone SE 2 in March next year
Apple will launch a second-generation iPhone SE in the first half of 2018, according to Chinese media outlet Economic Daily News.
According to the report, the iPhone SE 2 will be manufactured by Taiwanese company Wistron at its factories in India where it currently produces some of the components of the iPhone SE.
Apple first introduced the iPhone SE on March 21, 2016, and the phone went on sale a month later. According to speculation, the iPhone SE 2 could also be introduced in March.
The phone is expected to feature the new Apple A10 Fusion processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB and 128GB of internal storage, a 12-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 1,700 mAh battery.
The current iPhone SE model is a copy of the iPhone 5S in design, including the smaller 4-inch display. The phone has the same Apple A9 processor as the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, as well as 2GB of RAM.
Apple hasn't refreshed the line since its debut, but it doubled the storage capacity to 64GB and 128GB in March of this year. The phone's price has also been reduced to $349.
