EU chief 'shocked' by Bondi Beach shooting, condemns 'anti-Semitism'
EU chief Ursula von der Leyen said she was "shocked" by a deadly shooting on Sydney's iconic Bondi Beach, which the diplomat condemned as a "horrific act of violence" against the Jewish community.
"Shocked by the tragic attack on Bondi Beach. I send my sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims," wrote von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, on X.
"Europe stands with Australia and Jewish communities everywhere. We stand united against violence, anti-Semitism and hatred," she continued.Indeksonline/
