BMW XM with Swiss license plates confiscated in Prizren - driver under arrest

Today, at around 12:31, the patrol of the Regional Road Traffic Unit (RTU) in Prizren, through mobile radar, identified the violation caused by the driver of a BMW XM with Swiss license plates, who was driving at 77 km/h in a zone with a speed limit of 50 km/h.

According to information obtained after verifying the documentation, it was determined that the driver was under a driving ban.

As a result, the patrol confiscated the vehicle pursuant to Article 246, paragraph 5 and 1 of the Law on Road Traffic, and a fine of 500 euros and an additional 6-month suspension were imposed.

Since the offender is a Swiss citizen, procedures will be implemented for notifying the Swiss authorities regarding the driving ban.

Also, from the data in the SIPK system, it results that the person in question has 114 fines recorded, of which 18 in the last two years alone, where 3 of them are related to Article 246, paragraph 5 - driving a motor vehicle under a ban./Indeksonline/
