BMW prepares the new 8 Series Gran Coupe

After the Coupe and convertible versions, the new BMW 8 Series will also be available with a four-door Gran Coupe.

 It was spotted in Munich during a test drive on the streets of this German city.

The car is partially camouflaged to hide exterior design details, mainly in those parts of the body where the Gran Coupe differs from the coupe and convertible versions.

"Camouflage" is missing from the front of the vehicle, as this segment is copied from the two 8 Series models.

Based on some exterior details of this pre-production specimen, it is assumed that this is a powerful M850i variant with a 8-liter turbocharged V4.4 engine with 530 horsepower and 750 Nm of maximum torque.

In addition to this version, the 8 Series Gran Coupe will also be available in the diesel edition of the 840d with a regular 6 turbo 3.0-cylinder engine that produces 320 horsepower and 680 Nm. Later, we should expect the M8 variant with at least 600 horsepower.

The BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe will premiere in 2019, at one of the world's largest auto shows, and the first opportunity to present this model will be announced in March when the Geneva Motor Show is held.
