He is an unwavering example of patriotism – loving, welcoming, but always alert and clear in his thinking on the national issue. His warm words have given courage in the most difficult moments, while his faith in the ideal of freedom has been a guiding light for many KLA fighters.

In every story of Baca Kole, one feels the living history: the sacrifices, the battles, the songs of freedom, the boundless love for the homeland. He gave encouragement to every soldier who needed inspiration, becoming not only a spiritual leader, but also a teacher of strategy against the enemy.

Today, even though his health is not on his side, he never speaks for himself. He speaks for his homeland, for the ideal of a free Kosovo, for the martyrs and for the former KLA fighters who are being unjustly tried in The Hague. His voice is still strong, fair and full of faith in the national cause.

Even though I belong to a younger generation, I was lucky enough to get to know Bacën Kole up close and listen to his vivid stories. They remain a precious treasure for anyone who loves freedom and the truth of our history. The enthusiasm he conveys, despite his years, is an inspiration that never fades.

On this significant day, we wish him health and a long life. Because figures like Baca Kole – Sokol Poga – are national treasures, they are cornerstones of our identity and pride.

His presence is a living image of the Albanian nation. And when we talk about the history and sacrifice of the men of the nation, we must speak with honor and pride because that is what Baca Kolë is!
