Covid-19 cases increase in Albania

A significant increase in Covid-19 cases has been observed in the emergency room of the Regional Hospital in Gjirokastra in recent weeks.

Infectious disease doctor Arben Mino told RTSH that the virus continues to circulate in several variants, while a form with milder symptoms is currently being encountered compared to previous waves.

The doctor appeals for vigilance and respect for preventive measures, especially in closed environments and for people at risk, such as the elderly and those with concomitant diseases.

According to data collected at the district level, during this month alone, around 100 new cases of Covid-19 have been registered, which constitutes a significant increase compared to previous months.
