Cunha backs Carrick: He's a very respected name
Manchester United striker Matheus Cunha is optimistic that the team can have a winning streak under Michael Carrick.
This after the interim coach led the team to a 2-0 triumph over Manchester City in his first match as manager.
"We are still just getting to know Michael Carrick. He is a hugely respected name, not just at United but across the Premier League. He has written his history here in the most positive way possible and brings with him a winning mentality worthy of the club. He knows the way to victory."
It is the second time that Carrick, a former United player, has been the team's interim coach, after he led the team for three matches during the 2021-22 season.
Carrick, 44, took charge of United until the end of the season following the sacking of Ruben Amorim in early January after 14 months in charge.
