Doctor Arbër Tolaj shows what consequences air pollution has on citizens' health

AAK candidate for MP, Arbër Tolaj, has written about the damage that air pollution is causing to citizens' health.

Mejku Tolaj wrote in a Facebook post that urgent measures and stricter controls are needed against those who are causing air pollution, reports IndeksOnline.

"Unfortunately, institutions are not taking serious and long-term measures to combat pollution," he wrote.

As a doctor, every day I see the consequences that air pollution has on the health of citizens.

Breathing problems, cardiovascular disease, worsening asthma, and increased respiratory infections are directly related to the air we breathe.

Unfortunately, institutions are not taking serious and long-term measures to combat pollution.

Citizens continue to be exposed to polluted air every day, especially children, the elderly, and people with chronic diseases.

Urgent measures are needed, stricter control of pollutants, clear environmental policies, and real protection of citizens' health.

As a doctor and as a citizen, I consider this negligence unacceptable.
