EU also freezes some Russian assets
The European Union has announced the freezing of several Russian assets.
The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, has said that this blockade will be for an indefinite period of time, writes IndeksOnline.
"This ensures that up to €210 billion of Russian funds will remain on EU soil unless Russia fully pays reparations to Ukraine for the damage it has caused."
"We continue to increase pressure on Russia until it takes negotiations seriously." Kallas declared.
On the other hand, the European Council, at a meeting next week, will meet to secure Ukraine's financial needs for the coming years.
