Experts say e-cigarettes are a cause of lung disease
Health officials in Virginia, USA, are suspecting that at least three cases of lung illness are linked to e-cigarettes.
E-cigarettes have been on the market for a decade, but the negative effects they have are horrific. According to reports, the number of young people being diagnosed with lung disease is increasing, so it is suspected that e-cigarettes are the cause.
Some of the symptoms of lung disease are: persistent coughing, vomiting, and difficulty breathing. Young people who experience these symptoms and use electronic cigarettes should be aware that they are increasing their risk of contracting lung disease.
Treatment of these problems is usually done with antibiotics, but when the lungs are severely damaged, surgical intervention or more specific treatments are needed.
