Faton Peci promises the reconstruction of the Ibar Mosque in Mitrovica

The candidate for mayor of Mitrovica from the Vetëvendosje Movement, Faton Peci, has promised to commit to the reconstruction of the Ibar Mosque.

Through a post on social media, Peci wrote about the great historical and spiritual importance that this mosque has had for the citizens of Mitrovica, describing its reconstruction as an act of respect for the city's cultural and religious heritage and identity.

"We know how much historical and spiritual importance that mosque had for the citizens of Mitrovica. Its reconstruction will be an act of respect for our heritage and a step towards preserving the cultural and religious identity of the city," Peci wrote. /IndeksOnline/
