For a good workout, follow these steps:

Eat a healthy breakfast

If you exercise in the morning, eat breakfast at least an hour before your workout. Studies suggest that eating or drinking carbohydrates before exercise can improve performance and may allow you to exercise for longer or at a higher intensity. If you don't eat, you may feel sluggish when you exercise.

Be careful with the quantity

Eat after you workout.

To help your muscles recover, eat a meal containing carbohydrates and protein within two hours of your workout session if possible.

Don't forget to drink fluids.

You need enough fluids before, during, and after exercise to help prevent dehydration. You should drink approximately 2 to 3 glasses of water in the 2 to 3 hours before exercise. Water is generally the best way to replace lost fluids.
