Former Deputy Mayor of Pristina, Sahatçiu: No commander knocked on my door, Uran Ismaili is the change the capital needs

The former deputy mayor of Pristina, Donjeta Sahatçiu, has reacted for the first time after her dismissal from Përparim Rama, distributing a strong message in support of the candidate for mayor of Pristina, Uran Ismaili.

In her reaction, Sahatçiu talks about her experience in the previous government and her relationship with the PDK, saying that it was the opposite of prejudice.

"In fact, I was finding myself with the dignity, sincerity, and independence that politics in principle lacks," she writes, emphasizing that during Ismail's mandate there was no political interference or pressure from anyone.

She says that her departure from the municipality was a consequence of "the ego of the current mayor who could not cope with the fact that power was being lost internally as well", not only externally, describing the current government as a "facade" and "delirium from the loss of power".

While regarding candidate Ismaili, she said that "Uranus has been my anchor in governing Pristina," Sahatçiu writes, adding that his candidacy is not a political ambition, but a mission to make Pristina functional.

Finally, she calls on citizens to support Uran Ismail on October 12: "Give yourself the opportunity to see Pristina with Uran as mayor. You won't regret it – I've seen it up close, with dignity and pride."
