Fuel prices are rising worldwide, Berjani says it will affect Kosovo

The President of the Kosovo Oilmen's Association, Fadil Berjani, has announced the latest developments in the global oil market and their impact on local prices. He IndeksOnline has emphasized that, despite the significant increase in oil prices on world stock exchanges, prices in Kosovo remain stable and lower compared to countries in the region.

According to Berjani, the Brent Crude index, which influences international oil prices, has increased by over 5%, trading around $65.85 per barrel.

"This increase came after new US sanctions on major Russian oil companies, which raised concerns about tighter global supplies. At the same time, US oil inventories unexpectedly fell. The combination of these factors has revived fears about energy markets and shown how quickly geopolitical developments can move oil prices," Berjani stressed.

He also announced the current prices of fuels in the country:

• Diesel: €1.17 to €1.26 • Gasoline: €1.18 to €1.27

Compared to the region, Kosovo continues to have the lowest fuel prices, according to Berjani's data:

Albania: • Diesel: €1.98 • Gasoline: €1.99

Serbia: • Diesel: €1.88 • Gasoline: €1.99

"Our citizens are being served at the cheapest prices in the region," he declared.

Berjani emphasizes that although the world market is experiencing an extreme increase in oil prices, in Kosovo the price remains stable.

"In the world market, oil is increasing extremely, but here in Kosovo the price is stable. The factors are Trump's embargo against the largest Russian companies. I regret that the price is not falling in international markets, but is increasing, while in Kosovo the price is stable." - said Berjani for IndeksOnline.

Regarding developments in the coming days, Berjani does not foresee immediate changes in the Kosovo market:

"We cannot predict what prices we will have in the coming days, because there is an extreme increase in oil prices on the stock exchange, but there is no increase in our prices," he emphasized.

Finally, he also announced the latest data on the supply price:

"Today, the approximate supply price is 1.12 cents for diesel, while the retail price is 1.17 cents. Our citizens are being served at the cheapest prices in the region," Berjani concluded. /IndeksOnline/
