Ardian Gjini, the re-elected mayor of Gjakova for a second term, has expressed gratitude for his opponent in Sunday's runoff, Ardian Golaj.

In a statement on "ATV", Gjini said that Golaj of LVV called him and congratulated him on his victory in the local election race, writes IndeksOnline.

"Ardian Golaj called me on the phone and congratulated me on my victory. It was very correct. I thank him for such a thing. I had done such a thing too, I'm telling you the truth. His phone call was correct. No - we didn't have any other kind of communication," said Gjini.
