Guti in support of Xabi Alonso: He has character, I pray that Perez gives him a chance...!

Real Madrid and Spanish football legend Guti Haz has spoken about coach Xabi Alonso and today's match against Manchester City.

Guti hopes that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will give Xabi Alonso even more opportunities, writes Indeksonline

"At Real Madrid the seasons are very long. I hope Florentino trusts him and he stays for at least a year," Guti initially said.

He also said that Xabi has character and should follow his own path.

"I know what he's like. He likes things done right. He has character. He has to continue on that path. He has to not let the noise affect him. At the end of the day, if you're on the bench at Real Madrid, you're there because you do things right," the former midfielder continued.

The match between Real Madrid and Manchester City takes place tonight at 21:00 PM.
