Haradinaj: 27 years ago, the colossus of the Nation, Mujë Krasniqi, fell to never die with 41 comrades

Former AAK MP Daut Haradinaj commemorated today the 27th anniversary of the fall of national hero Mujë Krasniqi and his 41 comrades, emphasizing that they fell never to die and remain a symbol of sacrifice and freedom.

Otherwise, today marks 27 years since the heroic fall of the commander of the 113th Brigade of the Drenica Operational Zone, Mujë Krasniqi - Kapuçi, and his 41 comrades, on the Albanian-Albanian border.

21 years ago, during the frosty morning of December 14, 1998, KLA fighters, while bringing weapons to Kosovo, fell into an ambush organized by the enemy's army and police, in the place called "Te Likenet e Has" in Gorozhup of Pashtrik.

During the unequal fighting in the snow of December, in addition to the fallen martyrs, dozens of fighters were wounded, while some fighters were taken prisoner of war, but after an action carried out by KLA fighters, 8 Serbian soldiers were captured by KLA fighters and with the mediation of the OSCE there was an exchange of soldiers on both sides.

The KLA martyrs who fell in the Albanian-Albanian border zone were buried in Polac in Drenica with high military honors on December 21, 1998.
