High intensity snow in Qafë Thore, Shkodra district

High-intensity snowfall is falling in Qafë Thore, Shkodra District, creating difficulties in road traffic.

According to the announcement of the Albanian Road Authority (ARrSh), two snowplows are working on the ground simultaneously to keep the road open and passable.

Currently, traffic is continuing without problems, but authorities warn that rainfall is expected to continue with intensity throughout the night.

According to the RA, this situation could cause difficulties both in the movement of vehicles and in the work of snowplows.

Working groups and vehicles are on full alert, while drivers are advised to exercise maximum caution and be equipped with chains.

"Please exercise maximum caution in traffic. We urge drivers to exercise caution, to wear snow chains when traveling towards this axis and to follow instructions on the ground," the RAAR said in a statement.
