Huawei Mate 10 Pro, record sales in Europe

Huawei presented it in Germany alongside the Mate 10. The flagship had a difficult task, selling during a period when the Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone X are wreaking havoc with sales.

But despite this challenge, Huawei said the Mate 10 Pro is the best-selling phone in the company's history in Western Europe.

In an official statement, Huawei said the phone broke all of the company's order records in Western Europe and exceeded the company's own expectations.

The Mate 10 Pro has an 18:9 edge-to-edge display, Hisilicon Kirin 970 processor, and a great camera. It's water-resistant, but it's quite expensive, at a whopping 799 Euros.

Huawei isn't the only company reporting record sales. OnePlus said a few days ago that the OnePlus 5T is the company's best-selling phone to date.

During the phone's launch, Huawei demonstrated how the Kirin 970's artificial intelligence can recognize objects simply by pointing the camera.

The Chinese company claims that the processor can recognize 2005 images per minute. Huawei also says that the Mate 10 series is the first to offer download speeds of up to 1.2Gbps over mobile networks.
