In Munich, Kurti meets with US senators: Focus on NATO, EU and dialogue with Serbia

On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with US Senators Jeanne Shaheen, Chris Murphy, Thom Tillis and Ruben Gallego. He was accompanied to this meeting by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca, and the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci.

Prime Minister Kurti expressed gratitude to the United States of America as our main ally. Kosovo's progress in democratic and economic aspects was highlighted during the meeting.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the Euro-Atlantic orientation and the objective of our continued commitment to membership in NATO and the European Union.

Regarding relations with Serbia, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the surrender of the terrorist leader Milan Radoićić, who must face justice in Kosovo for organizing and executing the attack in Banjska on September 24, 2023; the signing of the Basic Agreement; and the withdrawal of Brnabić's letter stating that the territorial integrity of Kosovo will not be respected.
