It was built just for Adele, how much did the stadium in Munich cost?

She will soon return to the US to finish her "Weekends With Adele" tour in Las Vegas.

The venue for Adele's European residency tour cost £100m (€118m) to build and will not disappear after her final show this Saturday. The massive 74,000-capacity structure in Munich, Germany, will become the world's first portable stadium, it has been announced.

The organisers who developed it for the concert want it to be used again and again in different locations around the world. The scheme was inspired by the ABBA Arena in East London, built for their digital concert stand and designed to be easily portable, writes The Sun.

A music insider said: “It would be a catastrophic waste of money if an entire stadium was built just for these ten Adele shows, even though the tickets aren't cheap. But many different superstars, like Beyoncé or Taylor Swift, may use such moving structures in the years to come."

“It's built around Adele, so the dream would be for her to use it in other places, but she's keen to have a break. It only took a few weeks to build it, so it wouldn't be difficult to tear it down and put it back in a completely different city,” the source said.

There is great demand from artists to focus on residential tours in one country for a longer period. This means that they are not forced to leave their families while they are on the road. In that respect, I'm sure it will be a huge draw, although not many stars can sell out such a large venue, night after night.

The Rolling In The Deep singer also built Adele World, including bars, restaurants and shops based on her life. An insider added: “Things like 'Adele World' make the concert more of an experience. It's special and exciting for the fans."

After Adele's final concert in Munich this week, she will return to the US to complete her next residency tour, "Weekends With Adele," in Las Vegas, which ends on November 23. Then a total silence is expected. She told German television last month: "My tank is pretty empty at the moment.
