"Justice for Almir", protest announced in Skopje

On March 21, new protests were announced in Macedonia, against the decision to requalify the case in the case of Almir Ali.
In the last court session, the subject matter of this case was reclassified from the criminal offense of 'murder' to 'traffic accident'.

Thus, the accused for the murder of Almir, Boban Iliq, due to retraining, was released on the same day when this decision was made. Protests under the organization of the civic initiative "Justice for Almir" have been organized several times. Most recently, the day the subject was requalified. Citizens and family members before the Basic Court of Kumanovo demanded justice for this case.

The tragic event happened on June 25, 2016, where the accused Boban Iliq with his "Mercedes C200" type car, hit the little boy and his mother, from which accident the 4-year-old died.

For this crime Boban Iliq is accused of causing a traffic accident and Sedat Aliu, Almir's father and his two family members Sami Demiri Abdulla Aliu are accused of violence.

Bojan Iliq remained outside the charge of violence, for whom the prosecution said that he used violence in self-defense. The next session will continue on April 2.
