KFOR honors Greek contingent in Kosovo, change of command ceremony takes place
Today, at the KFOR headquarters in “Camp Film City” in Pristina, the handover ceremony for the Greek contingent of the NATO-led mission was held. The ceremony was led by the Deputy Commander of KFOR, Brigadier General Cahit Irican.
During the ceremony, General Irican thanked the departing personnel for the professionalism and dedication shown during their mission, and welcomed the new members of the Greek contingent.
In recognition of their dedicated service, all members of the Greek contingent have been honored with the NATO Non-Article 5 medal, in recognition of their contribution to regional security and international cooperation.
KFOR has emphasized that it continues to implement its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244, to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for all citizens in Kosovo, as well as freedom of movement at all times.
The KFOR mission works in close cooperation with the Kosovo Police and EULEX, acting as the lead for responses to security issues.IndeksOnline/
