Kosovar woman caught at Pristina airport with firearm in luggage

Kosovo Police have announced that a firearm was found in a woman's luggage at Pristina Airport.

The police statement states that the weapon was found in the suspect's presence.

"On 14.10.2025 at Pristina International Airport (outbound), during the inspection of the personal belongings and luggage of a female Kosovar passenger, a firearm was detected by X-Ray officers."

"The Kosovo Police responded to this information immediately at the scene, whereupon after opening the luggage in the presence of the suspect, the firearm was found. Regarding the case, a case was initiated against the suspect by decision of the prosecutor in charge for the criminal offense "Unauthorized possession, control or possession of a weapon", the announcement further states.
