LDK responds to Veseli: We are in favor of dialogue, but not with these dysfunctional institutions

The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, yesterday accused the Democratic League of Kosovo of not being involved in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. According to Veseli, the opposition political parties in the Assembly refused to be part of the state's responsibility, part of the dialogue, which addresses the interests of the state, not of political parties. Unfortunately, the old syndrome of primitive flag-waving, according to him, is showing its signs in this whole situation.

"Of course, the main responsibility for this lies with the LDK, which, on the one hand, from top to bottom, promotes itself as an institutionalist party, while, on the other hand, practically acts against the institutional spirit. Respecting this spirit today, more than ever in these ten years, is a necessity and obligation of all political representatives in the country," said Veseli.

In this created situation, Veseli says that it should not be surprising why, in the absence of institutional action that produces consensus and state decision-making, the debate has shifted to the virtuality of social media, and as a result, this debate has completely lost its seriousness, to end in a free circulation without customs of conspiracy theories and the drawing of new lines on the political map of Kosovo and the region, according to subjective preferences.

The Secretary of the LDK, Ismet Beqiri, responded to Veseli's statement. He Indeksonline said that the LDK does not take the statements of the Speaker of the Assembly seriously at all.

"Kosovo is waiting, but so are we, for making big decisions, which he has always been called upon to do. He and his coalition are tired, they can't even pass a single bill, or they do it with great difficulty, let alone make big decisions. They are a governing coalition, let them govern."

"It is hypocrisy to accuse the LDK, we are for dialogue but not any kind of dialogue, not from these dysfunctional institutions," Beqiri declared.

According to him, if they can, let them continue, but LDK believes they are not capable of governing. Beqiri has proposed that the country go to early elections from which new institutions will emerge.

The LDK secretary thinks that Veseli is in trouble, as he says, with his boss, Thaçi, so he is trying to find excuses.Indeksonline/
