A "Lamborghini Urus" worth 160 thousand euros was seized in Tirana.
Official police sources said the luxury vehicle belongs to citizen Sahit Shpataj, who had registered it in the name of his company. The young man has a criminal record for theft through the unjust appropriation of state duty, domestic violence and resisting police officers.
POLICE NOTIFICATION
Tirana/The police operation codenamed "Manovra" is being finalized, with the objective of tracing assets obtained from crimes. The "Lamborghini Urus" vehicle of a 34-year-old man with a record for several criminal offenses, including theft through unjust appropriation of state duty, is being seized. 34-year-old Sahit Shpataj is suspected of having registered the vehicle, worth around 160,000 euros, in the name of a company, to avoid tracing and justify the value.
The 34-year-old man and the owner of the company are under investigation. Following police operations aimed at tracking and seizing assets with criminal sources, specialists from the Money Laundering and Assets Investigation Section, in cooperation with the services of the Special Force "Eagle", finalized operation "Manovra".
As part of the operation, a "Lamborghini Urus" vehicle was stopped on the "Sauk-TEG" road axis, driven by citizen S. Sh., 34 years old, with a history of theft through the unjust appropriation of state duty, domestic violence and resisting police officers.
Further verifications suspect that this citizen had registered this vehicle in the name of a commercial entity owned by citizen ED, in order to justify its value.
Following the procedural actions, criminal proceedings were initiated against these two citizens. Investigations are ongoing to trace and seize other assets of citizen S. Sh. The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further actions.
