Lawyer Bytyqi files criminal complaint against Belizer Jezerci
At the Special Prosecution Office of Kosovo, lawyer Asdren Bytyqi filed a criminal complaint against Belisar Jezerci, a member of the "Deçan Movement", accusing him of continuous calls for extermination and ethnic cleansing against Albanian Muslims.
On Tuesday, Bytyqi requested that the Special Prosecution Office file an indictment against the "Deçan Movement" group and detain Belisar Jezerci.
"He continuously, but especially with his public stance on his social network Facebook, with the latest status where he calls for the extermination, namely the ethnic cleansing of all Albanian Muslims from the territories of Dardania, as he says... This is an unprecedented act, a madness, which has exceeded the levels of freedom of expression and which in such a society, where the Constitution states that freedom of expression is determined that freedom of expression is limited if it conflicts with public safety and public interest. This gentleman has acted thus by inciting and making massive calls for the removal of the Albanian Muslim population from the territories of Ilirida. This criminal report is an example and model that we will not stop and not only against this, but also against all those other provocateurs of Serbia, who are part of the movement for return, namely the "Deçan Movement", who continuously try to provoke and incite hatred and division interreligious and interethnic relations among Albanians," declared Bytyqi.
Lawyer Asdren Bytyqi stated that they will use all legal options against these individuals, while emphasizing that today's criminal complaint is also an action against the Special Prosecution Office.
He hopes that this institution will file indictments against the "Deçan Movement" group.
"This criminal report is also a kind of action against the Special Prosecution, which as much as it is the prosecutor who takes care of the establishment of justice, is also an institution that exercises much more politics than justice in reality. Because in these cases, in cases where certain individuals of Muslim affiliation write statuses and incite hatred, without justification, without right towards certain individuals or certain groups, they are immediately arrested and immediately initiated procedures according to official duty. As for the Deçan group, this institution has a selective policy, so it does not uphold justice and puts its ears in the wool and does not care at all and closes all files and does not take any kind of quick action, knowing that this case is an unprecedented case where there is a call for the extermination, respectively the ethnic cleansing of the entire Albanian Muslim population. We call on the Special Prosecution to carry out its duty as determined by the Constitution and the law and to take the appropriate actions and expect justice from it, respectively an indictment", emphasized lawyer Bytyqi.
Bytyqi said that they have submitted 25 pieces of material evidence to the Special Prosecution Office and expect this justice institution to take immediate measures to detain Belizar Jezerci.
"We expect this institution, knowing that we have submitted somewhere close to 25 pieces of material evidence, namely the positions of Mr. Belizar and the general positions that are organized and synchronized by the Deçan Movement... We expect the Special Prosecution to take immediate measures and we have requested that the same be detained, respectively that some of the security measures for the defendant be assigned until the procedure is conducted. Because if the same is tolerated, I am convinced that they will continue not only with this intensity, but also with a harsher intensity, because this is a policy sponsored by Serbia and the enemies of our country", he said.
