Veseli: Let's work so that children can be proud of their country

The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, said on the occasion of marking the International Day for Children's Rights, that Kosovo is committed to creating a perspective for the new generations, because, as he said, it has tremendous potential, including human potential.

Veseli said that the level at which children's rights are respected shows the level of development and democratization of society itself.

In the presence of several ministers, the head of the EU Office in Pristina, other representatives of local institutions, as well as many children, the President of the Assembly thanked the latter for the vision they are showing for themselves and the future of theirs.

"Kosovo must create perspective for this generation. We need a prepared youth. In addition to the traditional love we have for children, as well as the institutional commitment, we must also have strategic commitment", stressed Speaker Veseli.

The head of the Assembly of Kosovo said that it is necessary to prepare children who are competitive and prepared with the developments of the time, ready to face the challenges of the future.

Veseli said that the phenomena of violence are intolerable, because, according to him, they create trauma in the environment in which children grow up. He said that this meeting should be a message to stop the violence.

"We have to remove the young people from the street and integrate them. Investing in children's well-being, strictly respecting their rights, is an investment in the future of our country. "Let's work so that the children of Kosovo can be proud of their parents and their country tomorrow", stressed Speaker Veseli.
