Lewandowski achieves a statistic that only Ronaldo and Messi had previously achieved
Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski secured himself a place in a completely exclusive club during the Blaugrana's last match.
This happened thanks to a hat-trick scored on Sunday evening.
The Polish striker returned to the starting lineup as Barcelona traveled to Balaídos for their La Liga clash against Celta Vigo.
And during the 4-2 victory, Lewandowski became the absolute protagonist of the challenge.
First, he converted from the penalty spot, then scored from close range after a pass from Marcus Rashford, and completed his hat-trick with a header in the second half.
As mentioned above, this impressive performance allowed the former Bayern Munich star to join an elite group that includes only two of the greatest players in La Liga history.
According to StatMuse, only three players have achieved this statistic in a Spanish league match since 2018:
3 or more goals
5 or more shots on goal
6 or more attempts
11 or more touches inside the opponent's area
The trio in question? Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and now, Robert Lewandowski.
