Lushaku-Sadriu: All-day schooling has been applied to increase the quality of education and reduce family expenses

The candidate for deputy from the Democratic League of Kosovo, Jehona Lushaku-Sadriu, has explained the education reform in the Municipality of Pristina.

The Director of Education, Lushaku-Sadriu, has indicated that the poor results of Kosovar students in the PISA test have pushed her towards implementing full-day schooling in Pristina.

"...One to increase the quality of education, even in the latest PISA test measurements, where children have shown a very poor result, there have been some findings and recommendations. The PISA test has found that the curricular volume is too heavy to be completed within four hours and this is related to the need to extend the teaching hours," she said on Debat Plus.

Furthermore, she said that extending the hours also contributes to family planning, it also contributes to reducing family costs, as to manage a child with four hours, families had to pay for a daily stay.

She also said that with full-day classes, children have other activities, such as reading comprehension, physical education, and other important activities.

Lushaku-Sadriu explained that the implementation of full-day teaching does not extend teachers' hours.
