Massive accident in Michigan, over 100 vehicles involved

A massive accident has occurred in Michigan, where over 100 vehicles crashed into each other.

The massive crash forced Michigan State Police to close both lanes of Interstate 196 Monday morning, just southwest of Grand Rapids, as authorities worked to remove all vehicles, including more than 30 semi-trailer trucks. Police said there were multiple injuries, but no fatalities were reported.

The crash is just the latest impact of a major winter storm moving across the country. The National Weather Service issued warnings of extremely low temperatures or the possibility of winter storms in several states, starting in northern Minnesota and extending south and east into Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York.
