Meloni phone conversation with Zelensky: Italy, emergency support for energy infrastructure in Ukraine

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has held a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The Italian Prime Minister reiterated her country's solidarity with Ukraine following the recent Russian attacks.

"Giorgia Meloni informed President Zelensky that her country will send emergency materials to support the energy infrastructure and the people of Ukraine," the government said in a statement in Rome.

Meloni again expressed her support for the continuation of negotiations and the United States' efforts to find a process that will lead to a just and lasting peace.
