Milan are monitoring Liverpool defender
Milan are intensifying their search for a new centre-back during the January transfer window and continue to closely monitor Liverpool's Joe Gomez.
As Milan prepares to strengthen the squad that coach Massimiliano Allegri considers essential for the Scudetto race, sporting director Igli Tare has opened a "casting" for defensive reinforcements.
According to "Calciomercato.com", 28-year-old English defender Joe Gomez is a name that has returned to the Rossoneri's radar.

Milan had been following Gomez during the summer transfer window, and Liverpool's current circumstances have only increased the Italian club's interest: Gomez, who has not been used often by "The Reds", is once again seen as a target by the Rossoneri.
The profile Milan are looking for is that of a "willing and capable" defender who can easily fit into Allegri's three-back system, providing cover for names like Gabbia, Pavlovic and Tomori.
With the club looking to bring in both a new striker and a centre-back in January, Gomez represents an immediate and affordable option given his lack of playing time at Liverpool. He joins a list of other targets including Tarik Muharemovic (Sassuolo) and Mario Gila (Lazio).
