Mourinho 'explodes' after journalist's question: Don't ask me about salary

Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho 'exploded' after a journalist's question during a press conference after the match between Benfica and Porto.

"Don't ask me about the salary, talk about yourself!" Mourinho told him.

He became irritated when a journalist asked him about his salary, linking it to expectations for success, and replied to the journalist:

"How much do you earn? Do you want to say it or not? I won't say it. Oh, you won't say it? Then don't talk about me..."

The coach stressed that he has no interest in discussions about money:

"How much do you earn, how expensive are you? I earn more than you, but it doesn't matter. It seems to me that you have excessive curiosity, you are obsessed with numbers."

After avoiding the topic of wages, Mourinho spoke about his objectives with Benfica:

"Maybe we'll start winning tomorrow. Football is like that, results follow the work done. We're working hard. When a player loses, he feels responsible, and so does the coach. More than my CV, my experience matters, winning and losing."

Mourinho's message was clear: the focus should be on work and results, not on salaries.
