Nagelsmann reacts to Adeyemi's fine: We will deal with the matter after the match

Over the weekend, Bild reported that Borussia Dortmund and Germany star Karim Adeyemi has received a criminal order and been fined a total of €450,000 for possession of illegal weapons – reportedly an iron fist and a taser.

Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann was asked about the case on Sunday and said he and Germany sporting director Rudi Völler had spoken to Adeyemi, but the immediate focus is Monday's crucial World Cup qualifier against Slovakia.

"Rudi and I have spoken to him," Nagelsmann said, adding:

"But this is an issue that requires a lot of time and attention. We have an important match tomorrow. So we will deal with this issue after the match."

Adeyemi is expected to be part of the squad for the match. A draw would be enough for Germany to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
