Osmani reveals what the US President told him in Davos

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has provided details about her participation in the signing ceremony of the Peace Board Charter by Kosovo as a founding member of the Peace Board, as well as about the meeting held with US President Donald Trump.

She announced that after signing the agreement today, as soon as the Kosovo Assembly is constituted, she will submit it for ratification.

"I am confident that all political parties, knowing the historical importance of Kosovo's participation in this organization, will ratify it quickly. It will enter into force in Kosovo on the day of ratification."

Regarding the conversation with President Trump, Osmani said that the head of the White House conveyed a message to him about Kosovo.

"It was a very positive conversation for Kosovo and its citizens, it was a conversation that began at the UN summit in New York on September 28."

Explaining why she represented Kosovo and not Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Osmani emphasized the constitutional role of the president in foreign policy, adding that Kosovo's accession to the Peace Board is a victory for both.

"Because that's how the Constitution of Kosovo stipulates it, because in our country the president leads foreign policy. The prime minister is also here in Davos, but we have separate duties. However, we have common successes."

The president was also asked about her seat next to President Trump and her choice of red in her outfit.

"There were rules set by the US for both the landing and the signing, every protocol rule was set by the White House. As for the color red in the outfit, it's my favorite color, a color that I love very much."
