Police in Pristina issue over 300 traffic fines and confiscate 15 driver's licenses
The Pristina Regional Police have announced that the Regional Traffic Unit and the Capital Traffic Unit are continuing with increased traffic controls, with the aim of increasing the level of traffic safety and preventing accidents.
According to the announcement, during the period October 06-14, police officers issued a total of 316 fines for various offenses related to non-compliance with road traffic rules, and confiscated 15 driver's licenses.
The most frequently recorded violations are: Expiry of vehicle registration – 72 fines, tinted windows (installation of foil or other unauthorized materials) – 31 fines, using a phone while driving – 13 fines, as well as other violations of traffic rules.
"The Kosovo Police appeals to all traffic participants to respect traffic rules, so that together we can contribute to a safer road environment," the announcement states.
The Police have also announced that efforts for traffic safety and discipline will continue uninterruptedly on all roads in the capital and the Pristina region.
