Pristina and Ferizaj face shortage of essential medicines
The lack of medicines in primary health care in Pristina continues to remain a serious concern for many citizens.
Patients who attend family medicine centers complain that they often cannot find the essential medications prescribed by doctors, forcing them to purchase them at private pharmacies.
This situation is particularly burdening low-income families and people with chronic illnesses.
Meanwhile, representatives of health institutions in Pristina have stated that the supply of medicines is done through procurement procedures and that from time to time there may be delays due to tenders or a lack of bidders.
Such a situation regarding the supply of essential medicines also exists in the Municipality of Ferizaj.
The Director of Health of the Municipality of Ferizaj, Kemajl Emini, in a written response to Channel 10, announced that municipal institutions are undertaking efforts to manage the situation.
Meanwhile, citizens expect concrete actions and the fastest possible supply of essential medicines, so that their treatment does not remain hostage to administrative procedures. They appeal for more transparency and institutional coordination, emphasizing that public health must be an undisputed priority./Indeksonline/
