Professor from Kosovo again among the best scientists in the world

Professor of the Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences, Prof. Avni Berisha, has entered the top 2 percent of the world's most cited scientists in the ranking published by Stanford University on September 19, 2025.

According to the announcement, Professor Berisha, by joining this group of scientists, has strengthened international recognition in elite scientific circles, along with the University of Pristina and the faculty where he teaches and conducts research.

The Stanford University ranking, in collaboration with Elsevier, considered the most prestigious in the world, collects data on more than 100 of the world's best scientists from the Scopus platform, assessing the impact of lifetime and one-year citations in 22 fields and 174 scientific subfields.

Last year, he was also part of the list of the 2 percent of most cited scientists in the world.Indeksonline/
